What are the advantages of air-cooled flake ice machine?

Judging from the current flake ice machine market, the condensation methods of flake ice machines can be roughly divided into two types: air-cooled and water-cooled. I think some clients may not know enough. Today, we will explain to you the air-cooled flake ice machine.

As the name suggests, air-cooled condensers are used in air-cooled flake ice machines. The cooling performance of the flake ice machine depends on the ambient temperature. The higher the ambient temperature, the higher the condensation temperature. Generally, when an air-cooled condenser is used, the condensation temperature is 7°C to 12°C higher than the ambient temperature. This value of 7°C~12°C is called the heat transfer temperature difference. The higher the condensation temperature, the lower the cooling efficiency of the refrigeration unit. Therefore, it is necessary to control the heat transfer temperature difference and not be too large. However, if the heat transfer temperature difference is too small, the heat transfer area and circulating air volume of the air-cooled condenser must be large, and the cost of the air-cooled condenser is relatively high. The maximum temperature of the air-cooled condenser shall not be higher than 55°C, and the minimum temperature shall not be lower than 20°C. Generally speaking, it is not recommended to use air-cooled condensers in areas where the ambient temperature exceeds 42°C. Therefore, if you want to choose an air-cooled condenser, you must first confirm the ambient temperature around the work. Usually, when designing an air-cooled shaving ice machine, customers will request a higher temperature working environment. Air-cooled condensers must not be used in places where the ambient temperature exceeds 40°C.

The advantage of the air-cooled flake ice machine is that it does not require water resources and has low operating costs; it is easy to install and use without other supporting equipment; it can be put into operation as long as it is connected to the power supply, and will not pollute the environment; it is especially suitable for severe water shortages or shortages. water area.

The disadvantage is high cost and investment; higher condensing temperature will reduce the operating efficiency of the air-cooled flake ice unit; it is not suitable for areas with dirty air and dusty climate.
