The principle and common faults of commercial flake ice machine adding salt flake ice

Principle of commercial flake ice machine:

The amount of salt that needs to be added to the ice-making water of the flake ice machine depends on the amount of ice-making and the adjustment pump is automatically adjusted. The main body of the flake ice machine is divided into two chambers with a certain density of copper tubes on the inner plate. The technical term is called refrigeration.

The outer cavity is a very regular circular stainless steel one. The distance between the three-leaf scraper and the inner wall can be adjusted by itself, generally 3 mm. There are several sets of evenly distributed copper nozzles above the skates. When starting up, the plunger pump passes through several filters. Spray salt water evenly into the surface of the inner cavity, and then instantly form a 3mm thick ice surface on the cooling surface of the outer cavity. Under the action of the rotating ice blade, the newly made ice is broken into small pieces and falls into the storage room.
Common faults of commercial flake ice machines:

If the ice machine does not freeze well, you need to check whether the water flow is uniform, check whether the top water hole is blocked, check whether the nozzle is blocked, and check whether there is scale blockage and clean it up.

If there is no running water when the ice machine makes ice, check the circulation pump to see if it is working normally. If it is not damaged, the water level probe may be short-circuited, and the water level control head can judge whether there is water, and judge whether the required water is reached through some signals.

The importance of adding salt to a commercial flake ice machine:

1. Why add salt ice machine

According to the water source, flake ice machines are divided into fresh water flake ice machines and sea water flake ice machines. However, the freshwater ice flake machine also adds a certain proportion of salt water, which is far lower than the concentration of sea water. The purpose of adding salt is to make the ice flakes easier to form, improve the quality of the ice flakes, make the ice flakes more suitable in size, more visually beautiful, easier to fall off, protect the equipment, and consume less electricity. If no salt has been added, the ice cap will have a chance to screech.

2. How to add salt

Press the start/stop button to start the ice flake machine, add salt according to the above salt ratio, then fill the brine bucket with brine and mix well, then put the brine pump into the liquid pipe of the brine bucket.

3. Salt and precautions

After adding salt, observe the operation of the ice flake machine, the size of the ice flakes and the ice cubes. If it is found that the ice flakes produced by the ice machine are relatively broken, and the ice machine is accompanied by the harsh sound of cutting ice with ice knives, it means that the brine has not been added to the water tank. A common problem is air in the inlet and outlet tubing, which can affect the accuracy of the salt pump. At this time, the air should come out of the pipeline. The correct way is: the nozzle of the outlet pipeline of the salt pump sucks in air. Wait until you feel salt water in your mouth, then watch for droplets in the brine pump outlet hose. It is normal if there are water droplets. Then insert the brine pump outlet tube into the tank.
