Solution to Ice Maker Not Working

Ice maker shuts off: If the ice maker suddenly stops while it is fully functioning, the first thing to check is the power connection. The plug may have come off accidentally, or your power supply may be faulty. Seems obvious but make sure you also check that the ice maker is turned on. Depending on your ice maker model, you may also hit the pause button without realizing it.

The ice storage bucket is full: Check whether the refrigerator is full, the ice maker will automatically stop making ice when the ice storage bucket is full, which may prevent the ice maker from making more ice. Take out the ice bucket and install the ice machine before restarting the ice machine.

Icemaker receiving water: Make sure water is getting into the icemaker. Water is a necessary condition for the ice machine to make ice, and the ice machine will stop the ice machine under the condition of water shortage. If it's frozen water, a hair dryer should do the trick. If you have a portable ice maker, check the water level in the tank. If it's too low or out of water, the ice maker won't make ice even if it's on.

Clogged water filter: Locate and replace the water filter. The filter for an ice maker is usually located inside the ice maker (to prevent freezing).

Stuck ice machine rake: If the rake that ejects the cube is stuck, the ice machine cannot complete its cycle. Check for ice that may be in the way. Ice maker molds can be hot.
