Maintenance and Inspection of Flake Ice Machine Evaporator
1. Frequently carry out leak detection of the evaporator of the flake ice machine. Leakage is a common failure phenomenon of evaporators, and attention should be paid to frequent leak detection during use. When the ammonia evaporator leaks, there is a pungent smell, and there is no frost at the leak point. Phenolphthalein test paper can be used to check the leakage, because ammonia is alkaline, and the phenolphthalein test paper turns red. When you look at it with your eyes, it is usually a leak point somewhere in the evaporator where there is no frost. You can also use soapy water to find the leak at the leak. To check the leakage of the evaporator of the flake ice machine, you can use a halogen lamp and a halogen leak detector, or you can use soapy water to find the leak. When checking, you can first use your eyes to see if there is any oil stain on the evaporator pipe, because Freon and oil are miscible, and when Freon leaks, the oil will also seep from the leak point. When using a halogen lamp to detect leaks, if there is Freon leakage somewhere, the flame of the halogen lamp will change from blue to light green, light green, grass green, purple green, purple and other colors to judge the amount of Freon leakage. If the flame is dark green or purple, the gas in the flame is poisonous and cannot be inspected by this method for a long time. In this case, use soapy water to check for leaks. For small leaks, a halogen leak detector should be used for leak detection. 2. Frequently check the frosting condition of the evaporator of the flake ice machine. When the frost layer is too thick, it should be defrosted in time. When the frosting is abnormal, it may be caused by blockage, and the cause should be found and eliminated in time. 3. When the evaporator is out of service for a long time, it is advisable to pour the refrigerant into the liquid receiver or condenser to keep the pressure of the evaporator at about 0.05MPa (gauge pressure). If it is the evaporator in the salt water pool, it also needs to be washed with tap water, and the pool is filled with tap water after flushing.
