How many kinds of ice machine condensation methods are there?

The refrigeration methods of ice machine equipment are generally divided into air-cooled condensation and water-cooled condensation, which are often referred to as air-cooled and water-cooled.

The refrigeration method of the ice machine is to increase the refrigerant liquid from low pressure to high pressure, so that the heat is discharged from the low temperature environment to the high temperature environment. Since the ice machine works continuously, the compressor must be cooled continuously to ensure its working efficiency.

An ice machine is a mechanical device that generates ice after water is cooled by the refrigerant of the refrigeration system through the evaporator. According to the different condensation methods of ice machines, ice machines are divided into water-cooled ice machines and air-cooled ice machines. How to choose the condensation method of the ice machine? Generally, small ice machines (0.1-5 tons per day) use more air cooling, and large and medium-sized ice machines (5-100 tons per day) use more water cooling. The main difference between water-cooled and air-cooled ice machines is that water-cooled ice machines use water as a carrier to cool down the ice machine.

Summer is the peak season for using ice machines. The weather is getting hotter and hotter. When the business is good, the ice cubes are not enough, which is also related to the cooling method of the machine. So it is more suitable for your shop to choose air-cooled or water-cooled ice machines. ?

Water-cooled ice machine:

The cooling effect of the water-cooled ice machine is determined by the water temperature. The higher the water temperature, the higher the condensation temperature, and the lower the cooling efficiency of the refrigeration unit. The water-cooled ice machine can reduce the condensation temperature of the refrigeration unit, improve the refrigeration efficiency, and the loss of ice production capacity in summer will not be too large.

Advantages: The condensing temperature of the refrigeration unit is low, and the refrigeration efficiency is improved. Even in summer, the loss of ice production capacity is small, and the influence of the ambient temperature is small; the cooling effect is good, and it is suitable for medium and large refrigeration systems.
Disadvantages: need to install drainage system, water supply system, consume water resources.

Air-cooled ice machine:
The cooling effect of the air-cooled ice machine is determined by the ambient temperature. The higher the ambient temperature, the higher the condensation temperature, and the lower the cooling efficiency of the refrigeration unit. Generally, air-cooled ice machines are not recommended for places where the ambient temperature exceeds 42°C.

Advantages: No need for water resources, relatively convenient and convenient installation, suitable for occasions and areas with insufficient water supply and low water pressure.
Disadvantages: high cost investment; high condensation temperature, which reduces the operating efficiency of the refrigeration unit; the ice production capacity is greatly lost in summer, and is not suitable for unventilated places such as kitchens, aisles, and storage rooms.

The difference between air-cooled and water-cooled ice machines, the difference between air-cooled and water-cooled is that the cooling performance, power, and storage conditions are different.
