Didn't you know that an ice machine can also cool down concrete?

In large-scale concrete construction, such as hydropower dams, nuclear power, high-speed railways, and large-volume pouring of high-rise building foundations, temperature control measures are required.

During the concrete mixing process, the internal volume of the concrete will increase due to the release of the heat of hydration of the concrete, especially under high temperature conditions, and the heat generated by mixing is higher. The internal volume of the material decreases, and cracks usually appear in this process. Therefore, the initial pouring temperature of concrete should be low, reaching the limit temperature of the architectural design unit, so as to ensure the quality of the project.

During the construction, the cooling method of mixing ice and water or stirring and adding ice is used to cool down the concrete. Ice-water mixture cooling refers to adding flake ice to the mixing water tank to reduce the temperature of the mixing water; stirring and adding ice method is to add flake ice directly during the stirring process to reduce the temperature of the concrete.

Maintenance
1. Condenser cleaning: For ice machines that use air-cooled heat dissipation, the fins of the condenser need to be cleaned within one month under normal circumstances. The specific cleaning time period depends on the cleanliness of the air in the working environment of the equipment and the frequency of use of the machine. . Keeping the condenser clean can make the equipment run in the best condition, reduce energy consumption and prolong the service life.
2. Cleaning of the water tank and the water distribution tray: the water tank and the water distribution tray work for a long time, and scale, sediment, bacteria, etc. will be produced inside the water tank and the water distribution tray. The flake ice produced will be polluted, so it needs to be used regularly Clean with vinegar and other acidic substances, and then use disinfectant to disinfect to ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of the water tank.
3 Maintenance of the reducer: Regularly check whether the bolts of the reducer are loose and whether the running rotation is smooth and stable.
