Commercial ice machine maintenance and cleaning
Leave a message
1. Cleaning of the hoarding and liner
Before cleaning and maintaining a commercial ice machine, the user should clean the ice in the freezer and ensure that the power and water sources are closed.
Scrub the device casing and lining with clean water (you can add an appropriate amount of neutral detergent), and then wipe with a soft dry cloth.
2. Condenser dust removal
In order to get the best performance, please clean the dust on the surface of the condenser fins every three months.
When cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner, a small brush, etc. to open the louvers under the front of the commercial ice machine (grab the top edge of the louvers with both hands and pull them out carefully) to clean the oil and dirt on the surface of the condenser. Be careful not to use sharp metal objects, so as not to damage the tablets.
3. Cleaning of sprinklers
Loosen each nozzle nut and clean the rotating blades so they do not clog the three small holes inside each rotating blade. After cleaning, resume rotating the blade and tighten the nozzle nut.
4. Proactive cleaning of commercial ice machines
Some commercial ice machines have an active cleaning feature. When making ice in a commercial ice machine, pressing the "Clean" button on the electrical box on the back of the unit will stop the unit's refrigeration system and switch to a self-cleaning program.
The entire cleaning process consists of three stages: scrubbing, rinsing and draining, and takes about 30 minutes. To aid in cleaning, users can add some neutral detergent. After cleaning, the commercial ice machine will automatically switch to the ice making state.
5. If the commercial ice machine is not used for a long time, please follow the steps below.
Turn off the power switch, unplug the commercial ice machine, cut off the power, and cut off the water source at the same time.
Remove the ice cubes from the freezer and drain the water tank (you can open the drain valve cover on the back of the machine).
Disconnect the water hose from the back of the commercial ice maker and drain the water.
Wipe away the moisture in the room, open the door of the ice cellar, and let it dry completely.
